SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Veterans often have trouble getting the services they've been promised. On Tuesday morning, officials with the U.S. Dept. of Veterans Affairs came to Savannah.

A forum was organized by Congressman Jack Kingston to help solve veteran problems, giving them a direct line to VA decision makers, and to let them know benefits for which they are qualified.

While Kingston called the forum and open discussion, healthy, a live microphone caused some verbal sparks to fly. "You are all pathetic," one veteran told members of Veteran Affairs. "Anything from the VA? No. Nothing from the VA."

This is what should be happening at ALL VA Medical Centers across the country.

Allow all Veterans to come in air their greivances with the VA system and have those addressed and resolved immediately!

This should be a mandate through out the VA system.

I agree, at minimum every quarter! Not once or once in a blue moon, but every 3 months!

It sure would help straighten them out!

Veteran's are not second class citizens, they're not welfare cases, or just people looking for a handout!

They're real human beings who gave their all for this country and should be treated with dignity, honor and above all respect!
